Shields Gallery
This Shield belonged to the late Chief Two trees and was his
personal power Shield. His power animal was the bear. Notice the
bears in the four directions and the two trees. One tree anchored in
the nonphysical world and one in the physical world. In the center of
the Shield is a bear claw. Since he was a phenomenal healer the
'intent' behind this Shield is one of 'powerful healing'. The photo itself
has very powerful healing energies. Simply by focusing on the photo
of the Shield and its healing intent, you can access its many healing
properties.

This is one of my completed Shields. Since I have sheep and goats I
use their fiber to make felt and yarn. The Shield is felted wool and
has tigers eye bear fetishes, various beading with different stones,
image transfers, charms and material. This is my personal Shield
entitled "The Heart of the Matter".
My most recently completed Shield was done at the direction of Ruth
Lee, Scribe. It is entitled "The Eye of God" and depicts the photo from
the Hubble telescope of the same name. It is a glimpse into a distant
Universe. The eye is surrounded by peacock feathers and glass
beading. The yarns hanging below have some beading and simple
words such as 'passion', 'expect miracles'. Thank you Ruth Lee for your
